Stumbling from the gutters they fell or were thrown into, four miscreants come across each other one by one, not knowing whether to flash their stiletto blade before the other cracks a half foaming beer bottle or throw a fist before a chain lands on their skull, they rush their way into a back alley brawl. These young hooligans in black cowhide and greased back hair eventually realize each other as allies and defenders of a true religion called Rock n Roll, but only after the last punches are thrown. A gang of rebels thriving in a twilight world of Midnight Horror Shows, Drag Strips, Go-Go Theatres, Dive Bars and Teenage Delinquency; electro-shock to life a Frankenstein's Creature of brutal noise they call The Deformities.

Tension is their ally. No newcomer to a Deformities show knows what to expect from the upcoming chaos on stage. Eardrum shattering sonic rebellion silences their questions and builds up their fears. The bruised up lads on a nightly basis work their crowds into a feeding frenzy of fists, elbows, spikes, chains, leather, sweat and blood. Their attack consists of a thundering blitz of big beat and thrash on the drums; blistering fast guitars sounding like Chuck Berry and Link Wray had a violent run in with Johnny Ramone, bolstered by throbbing bass-lines, boosting the sexual adrenaline, while the whole sound is topped off with the hiccups, croons, yelps and howls of a real gone mad front man. The chaos ensues through the whole set as anthems of knife fights, loose women, and murder with multiple allusions to the walking dead conflagrate the air and even the most timid listener can’t help but answer to the hellish call to act.

This writing is ever important if you are to consider setting up a show with The Deformities. Most mediums will warn you with slogans like “board up your windows, lock your doors, hide your daughters and wives” but where is the fun in that? Welcome The Deformities just as you would welcome the end if a radiation bomb went off in your neighborhood, crack open a beer and enjoy the show.

....It was a dark and stormy night. Lightning was crashing and The Mystery Machine pulled up to a gas station along the Missouri river. Shaggy climbs out with Scooby and says, "Let’s go get some gas and munchies." "Shroor thring shraggy." replies Scoob. They enter the gas station to find a withered old man hiding in a corner. Shaggy yells out "Are you alright, man?" in a shaken voice the man sprouts a tale of a secret graveyard, buried by time and the toxic filth of the Missouri river, "You should not be out on this night, for it is the time the undead raise and Ghouls and Zombies come out and play." Suddenly, lightning crashes and thunder rumbles, the lights flicker, and when Shaggy and Scoob can see again, the old man is gone. "Well I guess that’s free gas for us Scoob, grab and run!" Shaggy exclaims.

When they get to back to the van and tell the gang about what happened Daphne points out a tsunami sized waved approaching with what looks to be deformed, mohawked corpses riding it. The wave engulfs the van. A few days later the mystery machine is found floating down the river, holes are torn in the side; authorities believed they were made from crashing around in the river, until they look inside and find the occupants half devoured. "What could have done this to these poor children? Wild Animals? The rocks of the river?"

Out of the crowd a shaken old voice cries "The Deformities came through the wave and feasted on them, and The Deformities will feast again!"

=========

In the summer of 2004 the Mid-Western musical force called The Deformities crawled out of the graveyard and on to the Nebraska Rock n Roll scene.  Influenced by the likes of The Misfits, Dick Dale, The Cramps, Man or Astroman?, Hasil Adkins, The Clash and The Meteors, The Deformities mix a wild, aggressive sound that is uniquely theirs.

On the road and at home, The Deformities have shared the stage with and impressed the likes of Michale Graves, The Misfits, Dick Dale and More.

Fans love them for the energy they put forth on stage, and for their appeal to many musical genres as Surfers, Metal-Heads, Punks, and Psycho Rockabillies are all drawn to the Reverb-Punk explosion damaging their ears and eating their brains.

Founding members Allan Schleich, wailing like a banshee on guitar and Justin Bauer, beating the drums like a redneck beats his family have molded The Deformities' sound since its blood curdling inseption. However, the unit's sonic style would not be complete without Johnny Feuerbach playing bass like rolling thunder while Beau Williams croons and hiccups like a demonically possessed Elvis Presley on the microphone. This deadly four-piece is the force driving the burgeoning Midwest underground Rock and Roll scene.

Maintaining D.I.Y. ethics and a Devil May Care Bravado, The Deformities are spreading the word of Surf-Punk, also known as Deforma-Punk, to every town they roll over, leaving behind stunned, and often times Zombified, fans who yearn for more of the hardest and loudest young band to come out of the Mid-American cemetery.
